Owner/Clinical Director of Thrive Beyond Trauma Counseling
“I help individuals and couples heal trauma, betrayal, and behavioral addictions through a blend of neuroscience, nervous-system work, and deeply relational therapy. My approach balances clinical precision with human warmth: Guiding clients toward safety, clarity, and lasting internal change.”
Akanksha is a trauma and relationship-healing specialist who helps clients rebuild safety, connection, and internal stability after painful, overwhelming, or life-altering experiences. Her work blends clinical precision with deep attunement, honoring both the emotional and physiological impact of trauma.
She integrates talk therapy with EMDR, clinical hypnotherapy, breathwork, somatic and nervous-system regulation, and mind–body integration to help clients access deeper layers of healing beyond insight alone.
*Healing requires both compassion and clinical clarity — And both are central to Akanksha’s approach.*
Akanksha’s clinical work is grounded in a four-part integrative model designed to support every layer of betrayal trauma, addiction recovery, relational repair, and nervous-system healing.
Akanksha is extensively trained in the APSATS Multidimensional Partner Trauma Model (MPTM) — A framework that understands betrayal trauma through a medical, neurobiological, and trauma-informed lens rather than pathology, blame, or codependency.
APSATS MPTM emphasizes safety, stabilization, validation, clarity, and truth-telling, empowering partners to understand their trauma responses and rebuild internal security.
*Betrayal trauma is real trauma — And deserves trauma-informed, partner-centered care.*
Akanksha is trained as both a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist (CSAT) and a Certified Multiple Addiction Therapist (CMAT).
Her work helps individuals reduce shame, develop accountability, understand compulsive patterns, and reconnect with grounded identity and values.
*Addiction recovery must be shame-reducing, structured, and trauma-informed — Never blaming or minimizing.*
Akanksha supports couples through the full process of healing after betrayal and addiction.
*Couples can heal — With safety, structure, honesty, and trauma-informed support.*
Akanksha believes healing requires more than insight — The body must be involved.
*The body remembers — And when the body heals, the mind follows.*
*Adults and couples seeking lasting healing rooted in safety, clarity, and embodiment.*
