When Healing Doesn’t Need To Happen Alone

Healing happens in relationship

Being safely witnessed rewires the nervous system.

Group therapy at Thrive is not about sharing everything, fixing each other, or being pushed before you’re ready.

It’s about:

  • Feeling less alone
  • Regulating together
  • Learning through shared experience
  • Building language for what you’re going through

Groups are structured, trauma-informed, and intentionally paced to protect safety.

*Connection can be regulating when it’s done safely.*

What Trauma-Informed Breathwork Groups Are?

Group therapy at Thrive is grounded in trauma-informed care, nervous-system awareness, and clear clinical boundaries.

This means:

  • Groups are structured and clinician-led
  • Participation is always voluntary
  • Pacing respects readiness and safety
  • Silence is allowed
  • No one is required to share more than they choose

Groups are not support chats.

A therapeutic space for real healing

Before or alongside individual or couples therapy.

*Safety and structure make group work effective.*

Group therapy may be a good fit if:
  • You feel isolated in your struggles
  • Individual or couples therapy feels helpful but incomplete
  • Shame or secrecy has kept you silent
  • Connection feels healing, but one-to-one work feels intense
  • You want to learn through shared experience

Groups support trauma, addiction, and betrayal recovery.

When matched intentionally, they accelerate healing.

*The right group can reduce isolation and increase capacity.*

When Group Therapy May Not Be The Right Starting Point

Group therapy may not be appropriate yet if:

  • You are in acute crisis
  • Active addiction or deception is ongoing
  • Emotional regulation feels out of reach
  • Trauma symptoms are severely destabilizing

In these cases, individual or couples stabilization may be recommended first

Group therapy can be added when safety and readiness increase.

*Timing matters in trauma-informed care.*
