How long does therapy last?

 Individual therapy session’s often last’s for about 55 minutes. How often does the sessions occur depends on many factors, including:

  • Mental health struggle being addressed and its severity
  • How chronic/enmeshed the issue being addressed is in your life
  • How much the issue affects your day-to-day life
  • How much distress has it been causing you.

Some concerns can be addressed through short-term therapy and some chronic or more complex concerns require long-term treatment which might take more than a year for noticeable progress to be made.
